Br Mark May Bursary Fund

The Marist College Canberra Foundation provides financial support so that the College can offer families an opportunity to access a Marist education for their sons when it might not otherwise be possible. Through the Bursary program, recipients and their families are given the life-changing opportunity to experience the rich and vibrant learning environment at Marist College Canberra.

While the College does not offer scholarships, this financial needs-based Bursary Program, funded solely by donations, provides young men, from all walks of life, the gift of a Marist education.

The Bursary Fund is built through the generosity of former and current students, their families, staff and members of the Marist community.

How to Apply

Before applying for a Bursary, please read about the criteria used to determine Bursary assistance.

Applications for Bursaries for new students need to be lodged by the end of June in the year prior to the year of enrolment, and no earlier than 18 months from entry. Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis if funding and class placement allows.

Importantly, applications should be made at the same time as applications for enrolment at the College.

If families have already accepted an offer of enrolment, an application for Bursary assistance will be ineligible. Upon acceptance of enrolment families sign an agreement stating they will be responsible for the payment of all school fees. Therefore, Bursary assistance is not possible for enrolling students unless applied for at the time of enrolment application. In the interests of accountability, a family must re-apply annually for Bursary assistance.
